35 UPOV members participate in UPOV PRISMA, including the European Union (CPVO) (European Union operates a PVP system covering its 27 Member States and until December 31, 2020, the United Kingdom) and the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) (OAPI operates a PVP system covering its 17 Member States).

LANGUAGE CHOICE TO READ FORMS

You can display the PVP application forms in the "Navigation languages".

Information must be completed in a language accepted by the PVP Office concerned. Application forms and technical questionnaires will be generated in the “Output language(s)” required by the participating PVP Office.

REMINDERS FOR NOVELTY & PRIORITY

You can set reminders for priority and novelty alerts from your dashboard.

Three types of reminders are available:

  • Priority
  • Novelty in the territory of first commercialization
  • Novelty outside the territory of first commercialization

The reminders are based on the data you provide in UPOV PRISMA.

FIND ALL PVP OFFICE PROCEDURES

UPOV PRISMA users are provided with information concerning the individual PVP Office procedures covering the following topics:
  • Plant material:  provides details on the requirements in relation to plant material to be provided for DUS Examination, where relevant.
  • Dates for submission for testing or plant material purposes: information provided for relevant UPOV members.
  • Payment: provides information on how and when the applicant should pay the PVP Office application fee and whether they will receive confirmation of receipt of payment.
  • Agent / Local representative: specifies whether it is mandatory or recommended for the applicant to have an agent or local representative in the selected territory.
  • Filing date: clarifies what is required to obtain a filing date for the application in the UPOV member concerned.
  • Specific requirements in relation to applications made using UPOV PRISMA
