What is PLUTO Search?
The PLUTO database contains information on plant varieties from UPOV members and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Under the UPOV Convention, variety denominations must differ from existing varieties of the same or closely related plant species. The PLUTO database offers a similarity search tool for a preliminary check to determine whether a proposed denomination is too similar to existing varieties within the same Variety Denomination Class.
This is the first item’s accordion body. It is shown by default, until the collapse plugin adds the appropriate classes that we use to style each element. These classes control the overall appearance, as well as the showing and hiding via CSS transitions. You can modify any of this with custom CSS or overriding our default variables. It’s also worth noting that just about any HTML can go within the
.accordion-body, though the transition does limit overflow.

Choosing PLUTO service
To select your preferred service, access your User Profile in PLUTO and select “Manage Subscription”

You will need a WIPO User account to access PLUTO and select your preferred service
(*Officials from UPOV members and data contributors designated by the UPOV representatives will have access to all the features of the PLUTO database Premium Service in accordance with these terms of use.)
