No requirements have been notified by the PVP Office.
Yes. The PVP Office will send a confirmation email to the applicant that the PVP Office has received the application successfully (including payment made) and will inform the applicant of subsequent steps and procedures such as “wet signature documents” (hard copy of the application) when needed [see “Additional requirements” chapter].
If the PVP Office needs more clarification or additional information, it can be requested to the applicant. The applicant must keep the original and signed document in their archives in case of any need for any possibility of legal case affairs (for instance, in a legal case, judge or attorney may request the original hardcopies of the documents)
When the PVP Office receives an application and evaluates the application positively the PVP Office will publish the application in the Official plant variety bulletin.
Once the application is duly completed, the PVP Office will inform the Turkish Variety Registration and Seed Certification Center (TVRSCC). The TVRSCC will then inform the applicant on the procedure for the plant material to be sent (including when and where samples should be sent).

Yes, the applicant will receive a payment receipt notification by e-mail.
İn accordance with National law and regulations in force, if the applicant is not a resident of Türkiye (foreign applicant) a local agent or representative operating in Turkey is required.
There is no list of accredited entrusted agents. However, in Türkiye there are legal patent and trademark agents which are also functioning as agents for PBR applications on behalf of the foreign residents. In case of a foreign applicant having difficulty in finding a local agent, PVP Office can assist the applicant to find an entrusted local agent.
The PVP Office will consider the submission date in UPOV PRISMA as the filling date.
Later revision and modification will not affect the filling date, which is the date of submission for the PBR Office.
UPOV PRISMA Disclaimer: The authority entrusted with the task of granting breeders’ rights (PBR authority) retains full responsibility in relation to the requirements concerning the filing date of applications in accordance with the legislation of the member of the Union concerned.
There are no deadlines for submission of applications in Turkey. Applications may be submitted at any time.
With regard to testing purposes, all relevant information on the plant material to be provided (including time, quantity, quality requirements and place to be sent) will be requested to the applicant by the Turkish Variety Registration and Seed Certification Center (TVRSCC).
There is no any additional requirements when making application in UPOV in UPOV PRISMA apart from submitting completed application data and making the payment. Electronic copy of notary documents are accepted when submitting application data via UPOV PRISMA. However original copies of those documents must be archived by the applicant. In other words, when application data is submitted via UPOV PRISMA, the applicant accepts and guarantees to undertake the responsibility of showing or submitting original copies of the documents (e.g. original power of notary and other official documents) to the PVP Office in case of any needs for an administrative or legal case.
